Professional disinfection, cleaning and hygiene: DIVERSEY signs a worldwide agreement for the promotion and development of the effibioz technology of the French laboratory SALVECO.
DIVERSEY, one of the world leader in hygiene and cleaning solutions for professionals in the building maintenance, hotel, health and catering sectors, strengthens and extends its partnership with SALVECO, the French laboratory specializing in plant-based chemistry.
Since 1994, SALVECO has been developing hygiene and cleaning products exclusively from renewable resources. In 2011, the company launched the revolutionary effibioz patent, born of Dr. Stephan Auberger’s awareness of the need to create cleaning, disinfection and hygiene products of 100% plant-based, harmless to health while guaranteeing their effectiveness. That same year, SALVECO registered its first patents, which were reinforced in 2015 at the European level and then worldwide, and in 2014 obtained the first marketing authorizations from the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA). More than 93% of AMMS (Simplified Marketing Authorization) approvals for biocidal disinfectants currently belong to the SALVECO laboratory.
In a context where more and more companies are choosing a positive and sustainable social responsibility policy, effibioz meets their expectations by offering the basis for safer and healthier cleaning and disinfection, thanks to fully biodegradable and environmentally friendly formulas using renewable plant-based ingredients (instead of petroleum derivatives).
This partnership will enable both players to increase their presence in a European cleaning and hygiene market worth €6.5 billion in 2020, with less than 10% of products being of natural origin, and represents a new step in their global development.
